The BBC - Russophobic as ever - broadcast exhaustive live coverage of the Fall of the Berlin Wall celebrations today. They took particular delight in Angela Merkels remarks regarding Ukraine; We can change things for the better; this is the message for Ukraine, Iraq and other places where human rights are threatened. They also focused on the fact that former Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, attended the ceremony - and highlighted his pivotal role in both the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communist regimes in Eastern Europe between 1989 and 1991 (including the USSR, of course). My country makes me melancholy ... :(
