The BCTF and our teachers are, and have been all along, the only thing standing between massive corporations and our children. Shame on us all that we let them stand alone. They are exhausted, distraught, vilified, spit on, fingered and they have held the line. They have taken the financial brunt both in supplementing the system out of their own pockets and in wage loss. They have worried about their children and your children. They have been denied access to washroom facilities. They have been called names. And we the public have, for the most part, remained silent and stood idle. Are we going to continue to let them hold the line alone? Can you look in your childs eyes and say Im doing everything I can? Your childs teacher can, can you?
