The BEST moment of a great event....is right after the event is over :D Specially if the event was a success....!!! Alhumdullilah, the Islamic Relief USA Fundraiser for Pakistan tonight was fantastic....We raised over $180,000 for our Pakistan, Alhumdullilah! The people who donated so generously, aapko unn yateem bachchon ki, burhay aur zaeef, zaroorat mand logon ki duaaein lagein jinki aapne aaj madad ki hai (May you be blessed with the duas of those orphan children, the old, weak and needy people that you have helped today)....Ameen! Oh I had so much fun, despite those damn high heels I tortured myself with :P We had a generous amount of people grace the event, although there was a few no shows due to the weather....But there were also those people that called in their donation or that dropped in just to say hello and a check....but ofcourse the most terrific lot were the people that braved the rainy weather to show their support (some of my favorite people in Dallas included :) ) and sat through the entire evening...Id like to thank the wonderful group of volunteers that I worked with for the event, the sponsors, the team of Islamic Relief USA, and the very generous guests tonight.... Jazakallah khair !!!! It was a lovely evening at the beautiful Crystal Banquet Hall with great food & ambiance, setup & decor, Aman Alis comedy, and the wonderful singing of Najam Sheraz & Salman Ahmad to entertain us! I hope everyone had a good time :) Thank you once again, lovely people! :)
