The BSO Weston district, BSO Fire Rescue and Community Outreach team worked together at Cypress Bay High School as students took the Just Drive pledge. Nearly half of drivers aged 18-20 admitted texting or sending emails while driving, according to a recent study. “Distracted driving is a big problem and getting the message out through peer-to-peer campaigns like Just Drive is an effective way to reach those at greatest risk,” Sheriff Scott Israel said. Just Drive is an educational program designed by teens for teens about the dangers and risks associated with distracted driving.
