The Barbizon 63 is truly a unique building with a long rich New York history. Built in the 1920’s as a “Club Residence for Professional Women,” the Barbizon Hotel for Women stood apart from any other NYC hotels specifically for women due to its exclusivity. Residents included Joan Crawford, Sylvia Plath, Grace Kelly, Liza Minnelli, and Cybill Shepherd. Barbizon/63 is now a white-glove residential building listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Recently we hosted an event that took place in the exquisite 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom apartment currently on the market with Douglas Elliman agent Jennine Gourin: elliman/new-york-city/barbizon-63-140-east-63-street-14b-manhattan-kmeadtr elli.mn/1scToy6
