The Basque people are a mystery. Their origin is unknown, yet researchers estimate they have lived on the Bay of Biscay between France and Spain for at least 10,000 years. Some sources say they existed before the last Ice Age. Their language is unlike any other in the world. Below is the original Basque or Euskara alphabet: The Basque also have the highest percentage of Rh-negative bloodin the world. When their blood is exposed to Rh-positive blood, they produce antibodies that fight the invading blood as ifit were a foreign intruder. Some believe the Rh-negative blood is that ofan intruder and that the Basque are an ancient extraterrestria l-human hybrid. In contrast to the rest of Europe,Christia nity arrived late in Basque country– as late as the 20th Century in some isolated mountainous areas. Before that, they had a religion centered upon the goddess, Mari, and her consort Sugaar. The couple was supremely ethicaland had the power of creation and destruction. Legends say Mari sometimes resided in Mount Anboto and periodically crossed the skies as a bright light. Basque legends also speak of genies and giants. Unlike the rest of Europe, Basque women always have been equal to men under the law and have held high positions throughout their history. Women could inherit and control property as well as officiate in churches which enraged the Catholic Church. As a result, there was a mass witch-burning during the Spanish Inquisition in the Basque town of Logrono. Hereditary lines also are matriarchal. These examples of Basque uniqueness may support the theory they are an ancient extraterrestria l-human hybrid. Some, however, believe the Basque people originally fled from sinking Atlantis; if true, the possibility of extraterrestria l genetic influence remains.
