The Bay County board of county commissioners is hosting a public hearing tomorrow to consider an amendment to an ordinance that will delete the 1 mill Millage cap for fire protection in unincorporated areas. There is no plan to raise the rate yet, but as it stands the unit does not generate enough revenue to pay for fire services. Do you live in unincorporated Bay County? How do you feel about this?
