The Beaverdale Fall Festival Parade is Saturday September - TopicsExpress

The Beaverdale Fall Festival Parade is Saturday September 20th. Parade staging is from 8am-9:30am. The staging area is the north parking lot of First Federated Church, which is on the west side of 48th Street between Hickman Road and Franklin Avenue. PLEASE NOTE only the official parade vehicle (my truck with Tammy driving) can get into the staging area. The official drop off zone for parade walkers & participants is Franklin Avenue between 44th and 50th, then you walk to 48th & Franklin Ave. The parade starts at 10am. The parade goes south on 48th St to Franklin Avenue then east on Franklin to Beaver Avenue, then north on Beaver. The parade ends at the Iowa Realty parking lot just south of Douglas Ave. There is a parade route map at: fallfestival.org/parade/ We will have vehicles parked at the parade end to help shuttle people back to the parade start point. Of course, wear comfy walking shoes and a “comfortable to walk in” costume. We will have bottled water in my truck if you need to hydrate during the parade. We will be handing out DMSFS bookmarks with candy taped to them. Note the handing out part. Throwing candy or other items is expressly forbidden. Dogs or cats on leashes are more than welcome BUT you are expected to clean up after your pet if they have a little mishap. There is room for just one passenger in my truck. If you want to ride instead of walk, please contact me at jkmohning@mac. First ask, first get. See you all at the parade Saturday!!!
