The Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas is looking to hire a sales professional for an opening in the Business Relations Department. Commission plus bonuses. (Monday through Friday) Job Overview The primary objective of a Business Relations Consultant is to enlist and process new accredited businesses that meet the BBB Accreditation Standards, and which model ethical business practices in the marketplace. General Responsibilities Work collaboratively with all BBB team members to grow as a team and to achieve both department and overall BBB goals. Gather leads through various sources including media, advertisement and BBB database. Invite qualifying businesses via telephone or in-person to apply for BBB accreditation. Provide application packet via e-mail, fax or on-site delivery to potential accredited businesses. Gather, compile and verify basic business information on prospective accredited businesses. Skills and Aptitude High school diploma (Required) Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of Mac computer systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Detail oriented Ability to utilize critical thinking skills Self motivated, flexible and able to multi-task Committed to ethics and integrity Job Conditions 2-3 weeks of training (dependent upon progress) Heavy phone and computer usage Sitting or standing for extended periods of time Professional business environment Business attire Interested applicants will need to forward their resume to [email protected].
