The Bibb County Chamber held its fifth annual Nancy Lightsey Memorial Golf Tournament with the best golfing weather yet! The tournament was held Saturday, June 22nd at Cahaba Falls Country Club. The tournament started with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. They started coming in with their score cards around 1:30. While the cards were being tallied, they enjoyed a BBQ sandwich, chips and dessert. After the final score card was brought in the following were the tournament winners and each team received a team trophy: First Flight – 1st Place was Team Boatright 1: Kenny Dailey, Allen Stewart, Cody Edwards, Scott Dailey; 2nd Place was Team Rockco’s Golden Bears: Chuck Martin, Mike Barton, Jim Tucker, Jacob Tucker; 3rd Place was Team Cahaba Timber: Brandon Stephens, Marc Stephens, Scotty Terry, Cole Owens. Second Flight – 1st Place was Team Gilpin Givhan, PC: Robert Pritchey, George James, Bob Ireland, Brian Robbins; 2nd was Team Bibb Medical Center: Joseph Marchant, Jeremy Allan, Camille Gibson, Matt Thomas; 3rd Place was Team Boatright 2: Elijah Colburn, Josh Colburn, Coty Stewart, Chase Hallman. Also we had other special contests. The winners included: Longest Drive – Bob Ireland and Closest to the Pin – Scott Dailey. Each of these winners won Cash Prizes. They all showed great sportsmanship! Bibb County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone for playing in the tournament and everyone who sponsored a hole.
