The Bible and the Quran are subject to individual interpretation, this is why within Christianity there are more than 40,000 other denominations because naturally people will interpret it based on their own belief system or agenda. Those who deny the absurdities found within the Bible, such as the writers claims that his god condones slavery [Leviticus 25:44-46, Timothy 6:1-2 and Ephesians 6:5], genocide [Deuteronomy 20:16-17] and the murder of babies and women [1 Samuel 15:2-3], a virgin having to marry her rapist [Deuteronomy 22:28-29] or anything else by proposing a radical interpretation of their own, does not change the fact that there are parts in the Bible that are undoubtedly questionable and immoral to say the least. The argument that this doesnt count because it is from the old testament is foolish as well because it implies that a god, who is eternal and immortal, changes over time even though time means nothing to him. The same can be said of the Quran, such as the writers claiming their god condones a man physically abusing his wife [Surat An-Nisaa’ 4:34] in which it states: But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], STRIKE them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand. [Had to emphasize this verse in particular because in the comments section most are denying it] and being superior to her [Surat An-Nisaa’ 2:228] amongst other things. Additionally, there are excellent teachings found in both books but again, to deny that there are absurd and immoral writings in these books, or that it is the work of a human being, is foolish. Focus on the teachings about unconditional Love, respect for one another and the like. Follow C&T On...
