The Bible tells us to be slow to anger. God tells us that love is patient. It does not lash out at people when they make a mistake. Think about the life of Jesus Christ. When people rejected Him, He simply moved on to the next town. When they accused Him of all manner of evil, He remained silent. When they nailed Him to the cross, He did not retaliate or try to bring immediate justice. When Thomas doubted Him, He did not get angry but simply told him to place his fingers in the holes in His hands and feet. When Peter rejected Him, He did not cast him aside. Are you a Christian? Then follow the example of the One who you claim to follow and mimick. You can do this but only with Gods help and His love deep in your heart. And the best part? Even when you fail, God is there to forgive you, be patient with you, and to pick you up and wipe the mud off of you. What a great and merciful God we serve.
