The Big Soup Kitchen Challenge 2014 (64 photos) Sponsored by Waitrose this is the 7th year of our Big Soup Kitchen Challenge. We had 16 Soupers in the Church and we served about 140 litres of Soup out of Bels Football Club to businesss who wanted delivery to their workplace. We had all the usual suspects taking part - superb quality yet again. The BBC came down as did The Guernsey Press and ITV Channel Television. Our guest charity was Cheshire Homes for the 2nd year in a row. Alex Jenner took charge of the deliverys and I ran the Church side. There were teas coffees and cakes on sale at the back of the church to compliment the soups - again a wonderful display of yumminess! HE and Mrs Walker opened it again for us and managed to taste every soup yet again. The day was a massive success and all credit to the hotels and resturants for their continued support of us! We were joined by 2 schools whose children took it all very seriously and supplied very very good soups!
