The Birmingham Country Club was partially built on 246 acres of land that comprised the Eubank Plantation. Many of the rocks from the home were used to construct the main clubhouse the Birmingham Country Club. The only remaining trace of the original plantation is this storage shed. Built in 1910, this building was used to store foods to help keep them cool. The building still exists today and can be seen / visited when you play a round of golf. The photo was taken by my Mom when she was doing research for one of her books. The lady is the photo is Jane Brock, Moms good friend and wife of Birmingham Banker Harry Brock.
