The Black Knight Community lost a great supporter today! All of her children graduated from St. Joseph. It is with a heavy heart and sadness to report that Aunt Ora Portier Simpson passed away early this morning, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at her home in Chauvin. She was surrounded by her family and according to Millie she had a fast and peaceful death. She celebrated her 92nd Birthday this past summer. Funeral services will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin on Monday, October 13, 2014 with visitation at the Church beginning at 9:00 AM until the services time of 11:00 AM with burial in the family tomb in the cemetery. If you are unable to attend the services you can send your cards and messages to her family at the residence at 5270 Highway 56, Chauvin, LA 70344. Please keep Brenda, Darryl, Nolan, Jr, Craig and Millie and their families in your prayers during these times of their great loss.
