The Body Art & Bio-Canvas [16.03.2014] ============================================ Here are my two snaps on the same subject. First one (Caption: The Body Art) is in B/W mode and 2nd one (Caption: Bio-Canvas) is in color mode, the close up shot of the 1st one. I keep the Bio-Canvas in color mode since the color is playing a vital role in the frame. If I would have processed it in B/W, then it could have been little difficult to understand the action is going on in the frame. But in color mode, the contrast in-between the colors of all elements depicts the story. On the contrary, I kept the 1st frame (Caption: The Body Art) in B/W mode, since its color was distracting the main theme, the theme is ‘concentration of the both persons on the action, making tattoo’. Your eyes will move on the three points again and again, 1) Tattoo Maker, 2) Tattoo Making and 3) The Customer. Eye movement may be arbitrarily but will stick for few seconds only on those three subjects. And now, please imagine ‘The Body Art’ Snap is in color mode….you will see some extra elements in the frame which are not necessary to establish the theme. Such as, shirt, pant, skin, wristlet, watch, handkerchief on shoulder, sand in background etc. You missed these elements in the frame when you saw in B/W mode. I always prefer B/W mode in PP time when color has no vital role to help me for proper presentation and vice versa. This is absolutely my point of view on photography. If you have any better views/ideas, please feel free to share with me. I want to learn from you.
