What shall we say to people who are blind? What instructions shall we give to these miserable mortals? They say, We have come to do good, not to curse, but add, If we had not been born in the flesh, we would not have known about sin. Jesus said, This is true: do not think of them as human beings, but consider them as animals. For as animals devour each other, so also people like this devour each other. Moreover, the kingdom is taken from them, since they love the delights of fire, they are slaves to death, and they revel in filth.
