The Border Cats battled back from a 5-0 deficit and beat the Duluth Huskies 10-8 Wednesday night at Wade Stadium. The Cats swept the three game game set, scoring 30 runs, to take a 4-1 lead in the eight-game season series for the Superior Cup. Robb Paller hit his first home run of the season as he went 3-5 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Jordan Serena continued his hot hitting as he also had a 3-5 night at the plate with a triple, three RBI and a pair of runs scored. Reid Peavy picked up the win in relief and Tyler Lequire got the final three outs for his first save. The Cats can capture the Superior Cup with another win over the Huskies next Monday night in Thunder Bay. The Cats, who have won four straight and six of their last seven, return home to face the Willmar Stingers Thursday night at 7:05pm at Tbaytel Park.
