If you or someone you know is interested in the position contact Clint Ziehl, Chief Professional Officer at [email protected] POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: Bookkeeper DEPARTMENT: Boys & Girls Club of Brazoria County SUPERVISOR: CPO, BGCBC CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Part-time PAY SCALE: $15 per hour DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform bookkeeping and clerical duties • Scan and email invoices and receipts • Handle weekly deposits • Process Office payables • Process bi-weekly timesheets • Organize and file all accounting documents • Other accounting projects or special tasks as requested • Support and positively represent the mission, vision and core values of BGCBC NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Works with BGCBC on special projects that benefit the organization QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & TRAINING • High School diploma, GED • 3 – 5 Years of Bookkeeping experience, preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY • Basic knowledge of QuickBooks • Organized and efficient • Strong communication skills • Consistent, dependable, honest and trustworthy • Moderate to High degree of computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Standard physical activity such as periodic standing, walking, sitting, basic motor skills to access computer files for information or simple data entry. There will be occasional travel along with frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate Unit functions; maintain emotional control under stress.
