“The British Army is a fantastic employer for trans soldiers. We’ve had policies since 1999 and it’s all really, really clear.” Hannah Winterbourne serves a trans* liaison for the British Army and has been opening serving since beginning her transition in 2013. Hannah is in charge of over 100 soldiers as an officer in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and is the highest ranking trans soldier in the British Army. Everyone should be allowed to be themselves, both in their lives at home and their lives at work. Help us end discrimination and create trans* inclusion in the US, in a hope that in the future, there will be a day where the MANY trans* folk who are actively serving or who once served, can openly serve as their authentic selves.
