The British in their frustration to contain the anti colonial Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya 50 years ago, led them to torture, maim and kill thousands of villagers with impunity. 50 years on, faced by class action, the British have tendered an unconditional apology, and offered to pay the survivors £2600 each. So African life in the eyes of the British is worth £2600 and an unconditional apology 50 years on!
