Buy the biggest moorti, that you can afford, and you will, since you will use public money or coax the sponsors. Close the mandap now since that will ensure enough foot falls and keep the coffers full. Who wants to keep the mandap open like the earlier days and give phukat darshan? Ensure very high decibels during the festival and especially during visarjan. Come on you have to have visibility and show that you have arrived. Create such a hype that people queue up for hours just to get in your mandap and empty their pockets. So what if these same people normally dont even go to temples.? Your Ganpati needs branding too, so rope in a few celebrities and netas. Without branding nothing sells. So there you have it the perfect recipe for Ganapati Business!
