The CAST systems was followed in Aghanda Bharatham based on the job in which peoples involved.......... now the cast system is used as a Vote Bank Politics ...... and most criticise the system ..... those who criticise cast systems are the most possessive on their own cast. In my opinion ....... today we all are having all the Chadhur Gunas ( not chadhur varnas) The Head ( Brahmin), The chest (Kshathriya), The Stomach ( Vyasya), The Legs ( Shoodras). If I am wrong......... mention your arguments as comments below.
