The COEASU issues in contention with Federal Government - TopicsExpress

The COEASU issues in contention with Federal Government are,but not limited to the underlisted 1.implementation of the 2010 agreement; 2.migration of lower cadres; 3.imposition of the Integrated Personnel Payment Information System(IPPIS); 4.funding of teaching Practice; 5.non-accreditation and standardisation of NCE programs; 6.non-release of White paper on visitation panel reports; 7.non-implementation of CONPCASS; 8.non-institutionalisation of Dual Mode i.e. to assign capacity to award degrees and NCE; 9.Exploitative personnel income tax; 10.out-sourced services and 11.insensitivity of the NCCE to the existence of substandard COE. If issues as these are begging for publicity and being relegated in priority placement by government, then we need to ask ourselves what our government really stand for. What future do they envision and through whose views are they seeing this cardre of the educational workforce.Yet they have written and have reaffirmed in the National policy on Education that Education remains the instrument par excellence for effecting national development. Can this be true, judging by their current response to this sector?
