The Carnies are in Town It is Friday night and the Carnival is in town. I say “What’s going on”. “Oh, the locals are getting drunk in the beer tent. They get drunk and fight”. So three of us amble over as we are in need of constant entertainment. It costs 10 bucks to get into the carnival to pay double the price for popcorn. The beer tent is over by the Ferris Wheel. We walk in and become the centre of attention. The only way we will get in a fight here is if we insist on paying for our own beer. Our problem now is drinking all the beer they are buying.
