The Central Florida News 13 report, referenced below, is dated Wednesday, November 12, *2008* - we remember this day like it was yesterday. In fact, that month and each month after for a long while, we remember seeing hundreds of people getting laid off weekly, and companies large and small closing their doors permanently just as fast. On this day in November 12, *2008* over 8,000 people came to our job fair looking for hope. All we could do was pray for these people, since there were only handfuls of jobs, if any, left and many uncertain employers. At Christian HELP we know we can not help everyone, but it is pretty amazing to see how God made us grow, change, and service his people that he placed before us. The staff and volunteers are still seeing many families hurting because of part-time jobs and underemployment that is happening, but wow 8,000 people at one event in 2008!!! God does not have a limit. With hope, encouragement, love and prayer our team will continue to HELP those needing our assistance in any economy – as we know now looking back at one of the longest recessions we have seen in our existence! With God’s help, and friends we have developed in our community, I know with faith we can help thousands one person at a time!
