The Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP) recently put the call - TopicsExpress

The Centre for Orangutan Protection (COP) recently put the call out for funds to purchase a motorbike for their work in North Sumatra and Aceh. COP is now working in Northern Sumatra to help combat the illegal wildlife trade. Tragically this includes many orphaned baby orangutans who have had their mothers killed as their forest home is destroyed around them. TOP has supported COP for many years and is always impressed by the team’s dedication and commitment to saving orangutans. The COP crew, led by Hardi Baktiantoro, are daring and brave, often facing difficult and dangerous conditions to help orangutans at risk. TOP immediately sent $2,250 to COP so they could purchase the motorbike. This motorbike will help COP staff travel further distances to investigate illegal activities and help to save more illegally held wildlife. Keep up the great work COP team!
