The China Attack...Irresponsible comments from an “MP” (Clive Palmer) With recent comments from Mr Palmer on Chinese economic and business activities in Australia, one begins to wonder if we need to introduce a minimum IQ test requirement combined with an understanding of international economics and its relationship with international politics. This goes without saying that an underlying strong emphasis should also be placed on the principle and huge national importance of the capacity to have a clear-cut demarcation of emotions associated with personal interest from core issues of national political, economic and security relevance and responsibilities. There is no denying the fact that Palmer’s actions and utterances have attracted quite a lot of harsh and sometimes severe responses and reactions from the Chinese camp, they (the Chinese) are entitled to whatever response they exhibit in regards to this. Maybe this will be a perfect opportunity for Palmer to reassess his tact and approach, same goes for some of his senators, whose comments in support of Palmer over that comment saga are quite laughable. Our national interests are far greater in any standing whatsoever, than the business or political interest of any individual, and as such should be accorded the relevant status, priority and recognition.
