The Christian season of Lent begins tomorrow. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, when Christians in the western tradition receive the mark of the cross in ashes upon our foreheads to mark the beginning of our time of penitence. It is a dark and holy time. Shoshone United Methodist Church will be hosting a worship service at noon. All who will be observing Lent this year are invited to attend. If for any reason you cannot attend this worship service, but you would like to receive the ashes, you have a couple of options. Richfield United Methodist Church will be hosting a worship service at 7:00am for those who want to come before work. Also, Gooding United Methodist Church will host a service at 8:00pm in their chapel.
