The Christmas Grinch tries but fails to stop production at thegiftrooms... but he didnt half do his best. As expected the replacement Drive Belt arrived in the country at 6am yesterday..problem solved..not so simple the Grinch employs the customs and they hold up clearance..the clock is ticking and finally at 10am its in the courier van, relief, not really...the company will not allow our repair man collect the part in person, they will not allow us contact the driver but agree to let him know the urgency of the situation, the result ... he says it will be 3pm when he delivers package to our man in Meath but of course this turns out to be 4pm and in the meanwhile the Grinch has got in our guys ear and he now decides it too late for him to travel down to Thurles too fit it and he is leaving for UK on Thur morning...Panic followed by action, he agrees to meet in Kildare shopping village and gives us the part..4.30pm dash to Kildare and back in Thurles for 6.15pm and now the Spirit of Christmas kicks in, Michael Buckley of the Thurles Shopping Centre Staff and Martin Cooke come to the rescue at short notice and with their combined skills have the part fitted and machine purring by 8.15pm...The Christmas Grinch has been defeated..Gabriella is back in action and is committed to working from 7am to 12pm to get every order out...give her a shout as you pass.. Thanks to all those with outstanding orders for your understanding and for those order we could now take over the past few days, but mostly too the 2 boys who demonstrated that the Christmas Spirit is alive and well in Thurles.
