The Church will grow When 1 John 3:14 If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. Have any of you been to Lifeway? Ever gotten on the internet to see how to help your church grow? No doubt there are hundreds of different philosophies, game plans out there. I like good information and of course the vast amount of information out there is wonderful. So many people think that the old age doesnt apply our cant apply to this new modern age tho. It pains me greatly to know that churches have to close their doors. Some Im grateful do, but others not so much. As a look around tho at the body especially in my area I see a vast majority not holding dear to what our predecessors did. Much of this new age Christianity varies very little from this same old world. While I would love it too be true that Godly love is they only love out there it just isnt. I see gangs mimicking true love. All kinds of fake love. I see people flinging to a stage every manor of bleeding God has given them to a man on a stage or in a tv screen. Men and women alike who will not lean down to help Gods people in Jesus Christ more than what is absolutely needed to maintain the show. They say you can have it all like me. Just ask God to bless your carnalities and follow not the true Jesus of self sacrifice to the point of death. No some other Jesus that has not one suggestion of cost to ones natural hopes and dreams. Many many throw their money to the site of Satans dancing bear. So what the answer? Might I suggest Love. Love that is expressed through Jesus. It is really simple. He saw people who were hungry and he fed them. Sharing the truth of the gospel while he did. All through out the old and new testament you read about how important it is to feed hungry people. I cannot stress the need for Christians to pull together and work to end the hunger in the community. I say if your church isnt feeding people out isnt answering one of the major callings of a church of Jesus Christ. With all the programs there you would think church growth would just be booming. Why mighty it not be? Look into Acts. The first church didnt have shall these fancy smancy programs. They kinda reminds me of an old hippie commune. Acts 4 : 32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33 And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and laid it at the apostles feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.36 Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37 sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles feet. We must use the old way on this new age. Not a new way that dismisses the old way. Id it not written I am God and I will not change So if this is what they did and in result they were blessed. Then this is a no brainer. Whatever the need is amidst your group within the body. If there is a need. Take care of that need. We must live as one family. Not like a bunch of individuals that meet every Sunday. Give to one another as the needs arise. Think about this and discuss it amongst yourselves. I keep hearing this same message from pastor to pastor. This is the way. I love my brothers and sisters. Anything I can do I must do. Prayer is good. Pray for one another of there is sick and otherwise needy. What is it tho of you have the answer to the prayer and you didnt give it to them? So much is written about love. Loved is just as much of not more a verb than an adjective. God bless!
