The City of Anderson passed the 2nd reading of the tethering - TopicsExpress

The City of Anderson passed the 2nd reading of the tethering ordinance. They voted to approve a 3rd and final reading. The ordinance limits the time a dog can be tethered (2 hours within a 12 hr period) as well as requiring food, shelter, and water. Let it be known that the board of Freedom Fences and our many volunteers believe that chaining a dog 24/7 is inhumane. Chained dogs are susceptible to being attacked, raped (producing many more homeless animals), and many we are have embedded collars. We invite any of those opposed to his ordinance to accompany us and see what we see. Freedom Fences does not target individuals. We get calls, emails, and FB messages daily begging for our help. So call us activist because we are. We will continue to work with the city of Anderson to improve the lives of dogs.
