The City of Crockett City Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4. In addition to voting on a proposed tax rate change (increase), discussion of 2015 budget issues and approval of FY 2015 capital requests, the council will consider and approve changing the speed limit from 55 mph to 40 mph and installing a Children at Play sign from the 2300 to the 2400 block of North Sixth St. There also will be a public hearing on request from Tajuanna Taylor for a specific use permit for a mobile home 28 x 56 to be located at 514 Sowescor St. Following the public hearing, there will be a vote on the matter.
