The Clark Dickey Cemetery is located in Sabine County, Texas. William Clark and Mahala Graham Clark are my (paternal) 5th great grandparents. William Clark fought in the War of 1812. Because of the records I have found on Ancestry, my father has recently been accepted as a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas. Directions to the cemetery: Clark - Dickey Cemetery - Sabine County, Texas - From the Sabine County Court House in Hemphill, Texas take FM 83 East 1 block to State Hwy 87. Turn Right or South on Hwy 87 and go 13.6 miles to United States Forest Road 117. Go 3.7 miles on USFS Road 117 to USFS Road 117-F. Here you will see a green Clark - Dickey - Smith cemetery sign. Continue 0.8 mile to where USFS Road 117-F ends and take the Right fork on Clark - Dickey - Smith Cemetery Drive. Continue for 0.3 mile to the cemetery taking one more Left fork along the way. There is a Historical Marker for the Clark - Dickey - Smith Cemeteries. The cemetery has a chain link fence and is well kept. J. B. Sanders Cemetery Book (Abt 1963) lists 32 graves as being unmarked. Additional information added in parenthesis.
