The Community Leadership Certificate (CLC) Program is Accepting Applications Now Over 76 community organizers in the Indianapolis area have received a certificate of recognition in community leadership from an academic institution since 2010. Alumni have been supported to develop their gifts, skills and talents along with other leaders who want to create greater results in their communities. With the purpose of strengthening residents for community organizing in neighborhoods, Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) has provided a 3-month long program to train residents who are willing to invest their time and interest in receiving the skills needed to build and grow dynamic neighborhoods. Participants receive a certificate from the Ivy Tech Corporate College Division of Ivy Tech Community College and eligible to apply 4.8 CEUs from the Division of Continuing Studies of IUPUI upon completion of 48 hours of weekend and evening training. INRC has seen alumni from the CLC program benefit from this program by effectively raising the quality of neighborhood associations, schools, places of worship, and even families. We are now accepting applications until August 18 for the upcoming course starting on August 24. Interested residents can visit inrc.org/icbi/ for more information about this free program. The series of courses will focus on: • Identify and Go for The Win/Win • Replicate Yourself in The Community • Engage the Diverse Voices of Community • Project Manage and Group Dynamics • Explore Your Personal Power When It Comes to Race and Social Class • Facilitate Action Oriented Meetings And more from the peer learning...
