The Crisis of Art....Crisis of the Spirit Sometimes my friend Einar Lewis Gangestad and I talk about art. He can get really animated ( I will call it that way) about the fact that the class of art has been eliminated from our schools. School did not do much for me but I know that this is not the case for many students and , in a way, school shapes us before life starts its work in us and through us. Art is making tangible the intangible, it does not matter what kind of art we talk about, writing, painting, music...dance....sculpting......Art is a bridge between the world of matter and the world of spirit and we have taken down that bridge. We chose other things that we consider more important perhaps because they bring instant gratification....and we put aside the world of Imagination that brought to us Geniuses like Tesla, Einstein, Picasso, Mozart..... Art is a Cosmic Universal language because it is born in the Core of the Universe...always expanding into new expressions of Love.....We need it as human beings....as creators of reality...... So yes....Einar is right feeling animated about the art class..... And yes, it is up to us to do something about it or not. That is why I feel a strong connection between meditation and art....between going to those beautiful realms of the spirit and expressing them with our hands covered in glue, paint......glitter......We bring here what we experience There.....and the feeling we get when we are able to touch what we saw with our inner eyes is just AMAZING!.
