The Daily Mail story of 24th June relates how Slough council have spent £24,000 on flights to build up a 3D map of the Borough. This is to identify illegal housing in peoples’ back gardens being let illegally to migrants. So far the Council have 210 suspicious dwellings. These are sheds or other ramshackle structures that are being rented out to migrants and the otherwise homeless. But this is just the tip of an iceberg and is just another symptom of mass uncontrolled immigration. We are adding hundreds of thousands of people to the population every few years. Many of these people are poor and cannot afford to rent or buy housing. And if they can, it just drives up the cost of housing and accommodation for the existing population. Meanwhile some people with houses are willing to exploit them by charging them to live in sheds, shacks and lean-to’s; reportedly charging as much as £100 per week to ‘live in primitive conditions with no water or heating’. The chances are that many of these ‘landords’ will be first or second generation immigrants themselves. The council intends to levy fines of £200 per day to end this practice. But once again we are attacking the symptom of a problem and not the cause. When these illegal habitations are closed the people in them will be homeless. They will have to live somewhere. If they themselves are illegal migrants then they should be sent back to their country of origin. But many will no doubt be legal migrants, who might well then be entitles to social housing. The real problem is mass uncontrolled migration and until that it stemmed these kind of problems will persist and grow worse. gerardbattenmep/sheds-with-beds-tip-of-iceberg/
