The Daily Star, Oneonta, NY -otsego county news, delaware county news, oneonta news, oneonta sports February 17, 2008 Woman, 25, charged in stabbing Staff Report A 25-year-old Margaretville woman was arrested Friday for alledgedly stabbing a Margaretville man in the abdomen, troopers said. Jennifer Lynn Myers-Finch was charged with first-degree assault, a class B felony, state police at Margaretville said. The arrest followed an investigation that began Friday when Margaretville Memorial Hospital advised Delaware County 911 at 12:13 a.m. that it was treating Jason D. Gilchrist, 23, of Margaretville, as the victim of an apparent stabbing, troopers said. An investigation revealed that it was the result of an altercation at a residence on state Route 28 in the town of Middletown, troopers said. Gilchrist was airlifted to the Westchester Medical Center in Hawthorne, where he underwent surgery for his injuries. Officials there could not be reached regarding his condition Friday night. Myers-Finch was arraigned in Delhi Town Court and sent to Delaware County jail on $30,000 bail. The investigation involving state police at Hawthorne and Delaware County District Attorney Richard Northrup is continuing, troopers said.
