The Dallastown Area Educational Foundation is pleased to announce that they’ve surpassed their $500,000 goal by raising over $509,000 to begin work on the new artificial turf for Wildcat Stadium. The School Board affirmed the goal at its April 10th meeting, and final work on design and job specifications are in progress. This has been a strong, focused effort by DAEF and its sponsors for nearly two years, with the goal to pay for the Turf Field without the use of taxpayer funds. Although additional monies will be needed to complete the project, this amount ‘triggers’ the construction phase which is slated to be completed in early August. A sincere thank you to the DAEF Board, its sponsors and contributors, the booster clubs and the athletic program, the School Board, and the many volunteers who have devoted much time and effort to the campaign!
