The Democratic Party is full of hypocrites and gasbags. Theyre a disgrace. But even at their worst, nothing tops the spectacle of the parade of would be GOP nominees schlepping to Vegas to kiss Sheldon Adelsons wrinkled old ass because he is a bottomless source of cash. My loathing for the Republican Party is hardly a secret--but were I a Republican, I would be irate beyond belief at this shambolic situation, a litmus test/audition for one goddamn constituent, referred to (accurately) by George W Bush as the crazy Jew in Las Vegas. Yet, I havent seen or heard a peep on the subject from my friends on the right--never mind that the party of family values is sucking up to a man whose fortune is directly derived from sin (although not inheritance, a rarity). When winning is all that matters, scruples are dried leaves blowing in a breeze, piffle.
