The Director of Marketing at Monster Transmission has a vehicle make thats not commonly seen around the shop. Check out Scotts VW Beetle! The Bug is a 1969 with early 60s fenders and seats. She is coupe blue with steel wheels all the way around and is 5 and a half inches wider in the rear. If you look inside, youll notice white walls that are inserts called portal walls and a fully upgraded custom stereo system. Ive already made a couple of modifications, including lowering the body 6 inches all they way around and upgrading the motor to a 1600 CC dual port that pushes a whopping 50 HP. In the future, I plan on adding a Turbonetics turbo and air ride. I purchased this beauty in 2006 from a couple going through a divorce so I got a steal! Since Ive had the Bug, she has been featured in magazines and newspapers and has received awards at a bunch of different shows. Shes an attention grabber for sure (especially that raccoon tail #coontail). Everybody has a story about one from when they were growing up so everywhere I go, she acts as a conversation starter and helps break the ice. One of the best parts is the old school vintage Monster logo I designed that tells everyone that they can get their shift from us! What do YOU think of Scotts ride?
