The Donkey Sanctuary, Ireland Stage 1: Donkey care induction day 11th April 2014 – 10.00am 3.30pm Places available Location Video Room, Hannigans Farm, Liscarroll, Mallow, Co Cork This one day course combines the latest knowledge about caring for donkeys with practical hands on experience. The day will help you decide if donkeys are suitable for your home and what to expect when they arrive and to feel more confident about looking after and handling your donkeys. Donkeys are not small horses with big ears so even if you have owned horses for 20 years there is so much to learn about the differences between caring for donkeys and horses that attending a course is always an eye-opener. This course is a great introduction to the wonderful world of donkeys. The course will include: Stable and pasture management Signs of ill health Feeding Grooming Handling This course is a minimum requirement for anyone wishing to foster donkeys from The Donkey Sanctuary.
