The Doubleday Cafe is Pleased to Present Our New Head Chef, Eric Swart A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts, Eric spent the past 23 years in the restaurant business. His cooking experience includes the ski resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado, Hoffman Lane Bistro and as Chef de cuisine at The Otesaga Hotels Hawkeye Bar & Grill. He makes his home in Cooperstown with his wife, Liz, and their two children, Allie and Alex. We are excited to have Eric join us at the Doubleday and are looking forward to seeing what delicious foods he brings to the table. In addition, Joe Pierce from Syracuse based Oshex Associates, a soundproofing consulting company, has designed and installed a Noise Reduction System in our dining room, which will enhance our customers dining experience. Stop in for Happy Hour every day from 4 to 6 pm and save $1.00 off all beer, wine, cocktails and appetizers. The Doubleday serves vegetarian and gluten free menu choices including gluten free beer, bread and tortillas. Along with our regular menu, we offer daily chalkboard specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Beginning November 17, every Sunday throughout the winter months, we will be serving breakfast from 7 am until noon. Dinner will be available from noon till 9 pm. bb
