The Dream I just woke up from: I was a Elf (like from Eragon), - TopicsExpress

The Dream I just woke up from: I was a Elf (like from Eragon), wandering around Cherokee, NC. I saw odd camp that no one else seemed able to see, so I walked into it. It was full of humanoid creatures with Fairie wings. They welcomed me and began to show me around, explaining that this was the only place nearby that was safe for creatures like them. They led me thru a living room that reminded me of a bigger version of my Grandmas living room in Georgia, and sitting in there was my biological mom and her old bf (who is dead in real life). Then they led me thru a HUGE kitchen where a bunch of them were cooking a giant meal. A female Farie took my hand and led me thru a door that opened to the back porch which overlooked the Ocean & she said, We need your help. There is a girl here, named Clarisse, we had accepted many years ago and have tried to calm her, but to no avail. She is impatient, destructive, mean and prone to violence for no apparent cause. Nothing we say or do can reason with her. We can not handle her anymore. I fear the only thing we can do is turn to you for a solution, otherwise we will have no choice but to banish her, and let the world outside destroy her. I value life, so I told her I would do all I could to try to avoid her death. They let me walk around the house, but only with another fairie girl who admired me. I came to a room filled with small cloth Dolls who looked a lot like real people... Looking closer, my eyes caught on the Doll of a little black boy with very sad eyes. I reached out and picked him up, Who made these things and why do they look so real? I asked. The girl frowned, They are very real... What you hold were, at one point, normal Humans. We Fairies sometimes befriended and in some cases fell in love with them. We are very selfish creatures when it comes to things like this. We wanted to keep them with us forever but, as all humans do, they age and die, where as we remain Immortal. So we turn them in to one of us, but when we do, they are bound to us, and as such, are our responsibility. When, if, the one we chose acts up in a serious way, we have to choose their punishment based on their crime. the only choices are Death, or to be stripped of the gift we gave them, and turned into these dolls and kept here for eternity, seeing as we simply can not let them go back to their old world. The Doll you now holds name is Devin. He was chosen by Clarisse over 50 ears ago, but he tried to take some things that didnt belong to him, to his old world, and for doing such, was turned in to a Doll. Since then, Clarisse has become as she is today. I couldnt imagine doing something so cruel to a innocent boy... I asked to be left alone in the room, so the girl waited outside the closed door. What could you have tried to steal that was so important that you get turned into this? I murmured to the Doll. I tried to right a wrong that I had done in my old world... I gasped and looked at the Doll, whose eyes now looked bright with life. He continued, My name is Devin. 50 years ago, I was playing outside with my older sister. I ran from her and jumped in the lake to swim. She chased me, but she slipped in the mud and hit her head on a big rock. I carried her back to the house, but she still wouldnt wake up. My parents beat be, then tried everything they could to get her to wake up, but she wouldnt. She died because of me, but my parents wouldnt accept her death. They then began to strike me, and continued to do so til I was sure I was going to die. I remember thinking that maybe Id get to see my sister... They carried me to the lake and left me there for dead, and that is where Clarisse found me. She nursed me back to health, and once i was healed, she gave me a choice. I could continue living in my world, forever an outcast living with the burden of my sisters death, or I could come with her to her world, where there was a way I could bring her back to life. She would live in her world and, eventually die of old age, but I would live for eternity in Clarisses world, which meant that i would never get to see my sister again. I chose to go to Clarisses world, just so long as my sister lived and my parents were happy, I would gladly live with Clarisse. She was really nice to me and she saved my life. When I got to her world, it was wonderful... for a time we had so much fun, but things changed. When we approached the council and asked to bring my sister back to life as Clarisse had promised, they refused, and no amount of reasoning or pleading would sway them. So I began to search in Clarisses world for ways to bring back my sister, without Clarisses knowledge, and when I found it, I immediately began to try and head back to my old world. I was caught, however, and both me and Clarisse were brought before the council for judgment. Seeing as Clarisse had no clue of my actions, she was not punished, but as for me, they decided to turn me into a Doll instead of kill me. Then they put me in here with all the other Dolls, and Clarisse gradually slipped to the state she is in now. Its all my fault. All I wanted to do was fix my mistakes, but instead I ended up creating more and now they want to banish Clarisse to die and there is nothing I can do about it... I dont want to continue on like this. I just want to apologize to Clarisse for what I have done and make peace with my sisters death... Tears poured from my eyes... What a sad life this person has lived... Then I came up with an idea to help him and Clarisse. Still holding the Doll Devin, I rushed outside and demanded that the Fairie girl take me before her council. Once there, I explained my idea and how it would help both Devin and their problems with Clarisse. They summoned Clarisse and had me recount my idea to her, and when she agreed, the council agreed to let me use whatever i needed to complete my task. So I gathered the Fairies in the kitchen & led them and Clarisse to a little Island that was on the ocean about 2 miles away from the house. I then dug a hole and placed the Doll Devin inside. Devin, tell me why you want this? Clarisse asked. Devin replied, I am so sad... all I wanted to do was bring my sister back & shield you from unhappiness for the rest of eternity... But i screwed up and i am sorry... Until that point i had been debating on what seed to use for what i was going to do, but his words had decided that for me. I took out 2 seeds, 1 Dandilion & 1 Weeping Willow, and explained what i was going to do, I chose the Dandilion for Devins sister because it reminds me of rebirth. When you blow out the white tufts, they create more of themselves and little Yellow flowers. his love for his sister will bring her spirit back to live amongst these flowers. For Devin, I chose the Weeping Willow, because they are strong and beautiful trees that symbolize both sadness and happiness. The branches bow down to the ground and create a beautiful sanctuary, which will be where Clarisse can go whenever she needs peace or protection.. I placed the seed in the middle of the Devin Dolls chest, then covered the hole with dirt. Standing up, I instructed everyone to grab hands and form a circle around the 2 seeds, then i began to sin... sing of light, sadness, happiness, growth, nature, power, love and all things that embodied the Weeping Willow & Devin. Eventually everyone started to sing as well, and from our combined will, a trunk grew from where we had placed the seed & dandilions blossomed all around us. We continued to sing until the Willow was as big as it could possibly grow, which still made it bigger than any Weeping Willow in the other world, then we stopped. I heard Clarisse Gasp and turned to where she was looking. A little boy and a little girl sat playing at the base of the tree. It was Devin and his sister. Clarisse began to smile and cry, everyone was cheering, and i? I cried and smiled so hard that my cheeks began to hurt. Then I woke up, my heart racing and my cheeks hurting. Apparently I was smiling as much while asleep as I had been in my dream...
