The Dream/ing Animal: “Almost 39% of the dreams collected for this study had animals in them. Furthermore, almost a third of the reported dream characters were animals. When this is compared with the U.S. norms established by Hall and Van de Castle (1966, as cited in Domhoff, 1996), which include roughly 5% animal characters, the results are striking.
