The Dutch rail network is undergoing major expansions and due to scheduled construction activities, train service will not be available between ‘s Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) and Tilburg during the Roadburn Festival this year. Dutch Railways (Nederlandse Spoorwegen – NS) will provide bus transport. What does this mean for Roadburn visitors? If you are arriving in Amsterdam (or Schiphol Airport), you can avoid Den Bosch by travelling to Tilburg via Rotterdam. You will need to change trains in Breda. Also, if you are staying in Eindhoven and arriving in Amsterdam, you can avoid Den Bosch by travelling to Eindhoven via Rotterdam. You will need to change trains in Breda. If you are travelling to the festival by train from the east, for example via Hengelo or Arnhem, be prepared to transfer to a bus when you arrive in Den Bosch. There will be signs (see pics below) and NS employees waiting to direct you to a bus. Or just follow the locals! You do not need to buy a bus ticket. There will be storage space available on board for your luggage (and camping gear, if applicable). The additional travel time will be about 30 minutes. If you are travelling to the festival by train from the south, for example via Venlo or Roosendaal, there are no scheduled disruptions to train service.
