The EU continues to take steps to eradicate hunger and poverty beyond the 2015 target for achieving the MDGs. One of these initiatives includes its Action Plan on Nutrition outlining how the Commission intends to reach its commitment of reducing stunted growth of children under 5 by at least 7% (7 million children) of the World Health Assembly goal by 2025. This is to be achieved through governance, greater interventions and research by working closely with development players and partner countries to establish a strong framework designed to track the progress of interventions.
