The Eagles Last flight. Book one: With my musical soundtrack being 19. And the same as in book III we meet Skip. He is young, idealistic and has trouble staying in the program to be a fighter pilot. He meets WWII and Korean fighter pilots and thus my musical choice. He meets the love of his life. He starts to grow up but he is drinking hard, playing hard and not all is well. Skip is human. In this part of the book which I read in print. It is about being idealistic, romance and new love. All I know here is that I really like Skip and I think I know where the story is headed. Death of a friend demands a price boredom brings harder drinking. And both Skip and his wife makes some horrible choices. A colleague tries to sink Skips career and nobody believes Skip about the F-100s double system fail. Skip is a pilot born. Nothing will keep him from the sky. Since we read quite a bit about his spouses nagging doubts about his safety here and are hit with a reality of life--you need not go to war to die... I did not see it coming. I hope to break the sound barrier myself one day! Why the music? This book is about passion and the fact that no matter what, if flying is in your blood it is in your blood!
