The Eastern Cape Provincial Government post May 7 met last week in its First Special Meeting to look into a Minimum Programme of Action that will ensure that the political leadership reaches out to the people in a spirit of thankfulness and appreciation for the high voter turn out which returned the ruling party into political office. Part of the decisions taken by Members of the Provincial Cabinet was to Reach out and ask for Partnership with the people of the Eastern Cape as we seek to deal with the Massive Challenges facing the province as part of building Social cohesion. So,together with Eastern Cape Churches, a Prayer Service is taking place tonight in East London to allow the Clergy to Prepare the Way for this Administration to serve the interests of the people and to ask for Wisdom and Guidance. People of different faiths are here to say with God on our side, nothing can Defeat us The Rich History of the Eastern Cape consists of pioneers such as Rev.Tiyo Soga as well Rev.Canon Calata as well as the likes of Enoch Sontonga who composed our National Anthem. This Rich History is called upon tonight to Provide Counsel as the province deals with contemporary challenges facing the Eastern Cape.
