The Education Department of Dukesway Academy has designed a specific workshop to assist parents’ awareness in developing math skills for the upcoming GA Milestones Tests that replaces the GA CRCT for spring 2015. On Saturday, January 31, 2015 10am – 12 noon this workshop will be held at Fairfield Baptist Church (C. L. Nall Chapel Fellowship Hall) 6133 Redan Road, Lithonia, Georgia 30058 Rev. Micheal Benton, Pastor. Refreshments and Door Prizes!!!!! This is a FREE event!!!!! Limited Seating!! Parents are encouraged to attend the workshop for resources and networking. Most parents learn by trial and error; we will present a lot of successful strategies developed for you as the caregiver or parents of school aged children. Our objective is to increase parents’ understanding of what will be expected of their children with an interactive computer session. We are asking parents to bring their laptops, iPads, tablets, or iPhone as we will work on different math sites. We anticipate lots of fun and learning. Special guests: C.R.A.M. Academy Mrs. Valencia Thornton, Title I Math Specialist and Consultant and Ms. Janice Moore, Math Coach, Teacher/Tutor, together they will encourage parents to make learning fun for their children and discovered ways to stimulate and motivate them into loving math! Our Inspirational Speaker Monika D. Waters, The Idea Doctor- Ambassador Joy will enlighten us on why parents need to help parents, and work with their children. Audience will be able to ask questions!
